Ashley’s Favorite: Almond milk latte and chocolate chip cookie (yeah after a run this is sometimes breakfast for me)
Kristy's Favorite: The savory scones are bomb. Like...bacon-cheddar-chive-magic I think it's called. And black coffee for me. Like my soul?

Local tip: Bring your own mug for a discount.

Ithaca Bakery

Two Locations: Meadow St. & Triphammer Mall

Ashley’s Favorite: Rosemary and salt bagel double toasted with jalapeno cream cheese.
Kristy's Favorite: Onion bagel, NOT toasted, with bacon-scallion cream cheese.

Local Tip: Don’t get anything with an egg on it! I think it is microwaved and is a weird texture.

Sunday Brunch

American Vineyards

Ashley’s Favorite: Whatever the special is, it is seriously really hard to go wrong here.
Kristy's Favorite: The Dry Riesling. Oh wait food. Um, I'll go with Ashley. It's all so good.

Local Tip: If you are waiting for a table in the café you get a free tasting in the winery. Also, it's a dog-friendly winery, so be sure to bring your pooch and grab a table outside to grub.

Farmers Market

Steamboat Landing, 545 3rd St., Ithaca, NY 14851

Ashley's Favorite: Bread, cheese, and an apple.
Kristy's Favorite: The breakfast burritos. The line is always long but it's worth it.

Local Tip: Ithaca Soap has the BEST lip balm ever!!!

Lunch

Ithaca Bakery

Two Locations: Meadow St. & Triphammer Mall

Ashley’s Favorite: CTBLT on pumpernickel bread and jasmine coconut rice pudding from the grab and go section.
Kristy's Favorite: The "Danby Revisited" sandwich - smoked turkey, smashed avocado, tomato and parsley-garlic dressing on multigrain. I add bacon because....obviously.

Local Tip: Same as above don’t get anything with an egg on it. Also take it to go then eat at Steward Park looking over the lake.

Green Star

Ashley’s Favorite: Pad thai or salad from the salad bar.
Kristy's Favorite: Ditto to what Ashley said. They have this miso-ginger dressing that is my favorite on the salad bar. And the Macro-Mama's Pad Thai is amazing. The juice bar is also nice.

Local Tip: Get food to go and sit outside. Also - if you purchase ingredient from the produce section, they will make it in to juice for you fo free.

All this, PLUS a salad and miso soup for like $10. Best lunch deal in town for sure.

Sumo

Ashley’s favorite: 2 roll lunch special, spicy salmon and shrimp avocado.
Kristy's Favorite: 3 roll lunch special with spicy salmon, spicy tuna and a Philadelphia roll.

Local Tip: Sumo for lunch

This is delicious, pho-sho. It's pho-nomenal. So good we had to take a pho-to. Ok, we'll stop now...

Saigon Kitchen

Ashley’s Favorite: Vegetable Pho with no mushrooms, or subgum vermicelli with pork.
Kristy's Favorite(s): I have a tie: Tai Gau pho (rare steak and brisket) and the Subgum that Ashley voted for. Pho in the winter, Subgum in the summer when it's too hot to eat soup.

Local Tip: BYOB, pick up a bottle of hard cider on your way. Or get your meal to go and eat at Da Westy, an awesome bar with tons of outdoor seating a couple doors down!

Bandwagon Brew Pub

Ashley’s Favorite: Shrimp and waffles.
Kristy's Favorite: Samesies. Always get the waffles.

Local Tip: Don’t drink the beer, not that good. Sorry.

Kristy's Favorite: Flower Power. I am rather indifferent about the food, it's all about the beverages for me.

Ashley’s Favorite: Any vegan flavor (except cinnamon) in a cup with chocolate sprinkles.
Kristy's Favorite: I'm a traditional soft-serve in a cone kind of gal. With rainbow sprinkles.

Local Tip: If the line isn’t too long you can sample the flavors.

Kristy's Favorite: No idea, Kristy has never been here. Ha!

Ashley’s Favorite: A glass of Cazenovia with the cheese board, bread, butter, and pickle plate.
Kristy's Favorite: Trying a different cider every time. They are a working farm as well, so if you order their cheese/charcuterie boards, you'll get some seasonal stuff. Like ground cherries! YUM!

Local Tip: They have shrub.

Seneca Lake

FLX Winery

Ashley’s Favorite: Hot dog with spicy mustard, kimchi, and ketchup with poutine
Kristy's Favorite: The Whole Hog - a hot dog with a fried egg, bacon, cheese curd, corn relish, chipotle mayo and herbs.

Local Tip: If you want to eat 2 hot dogs skip the bun on the second, you will not have room in your stomach. Also, the owner is a Master Sommelier, so take a look in the secret wine fridge - you'll find some EPIC things in there at crazy-low prices.
